About the event
Ready to explore yoga inversions in a supportive, friendly, and fun community-orientated workshop environment? Then look no further! I am delighted to be offering this popular workshop series for the third time this year - with new exciting content! - combining my love of inversions and arm balances with the magic techniques of embodied anatomy and the bandhas - yoga's energetic locks.
Each week we will have a different anatomical theme and bandha focus that will help us build strength, stability and excellent foundations to grow our yoga inversions practice. There will be something for everyone, from beginners to more advanced practioners.
Through this series, you can expect to:
- Build strength, stability and confidence in your arm balance and inversion practice.
- Learn about and embody the science of the yogic 'bandhas' or energetic locks, biomechancis, and embodied anatomy to help you find strength, stability, and lift in more efficient ways for your body and practice (this is life-changing!).
- Cover poses including crow pose, side crow, and headstand, as well as forearmstand and handstand, using the wall and partners to support us (you don't have to try freestanding unless you want to).
- Find encouragement as you explore inversions and arm balances in a safe, friendly, and community-orientated environment
- Learn drills and excercises to add to your weekly yoga and workout routines
- Connect to your body and others while challenging yourself!

Session 1: Hasta Bandha & the Hand Lock
Saturday 12 October, 10am - 12pm
Session 2: Arm Spirals & Side Body Bandhas
Sunday 19 October, 10am - 12pm
Session 3: Uddiyadha Bandha & Mula Bandha, Core, Pelvic Floor & Diaphragm Locks
Saturday 26 October, 10am - 12pm
Price:
Standard: single workshop £25 for TC members (join from only £18.50 per month) or £35 for non TC members.
Some prior yoga experience needed. However, please don't be nervous or unsure about joining the series if you are at the beginning of your inversion and arm balance practice. It is yoga practice, not perfect (!) and the purpose of these workshops is to explore and learn, so that you can grow. There will be options for all levels; more advanced practitioners and those who are newer.
Please bring your own yoga mat - and a block if you have one!
